PETER COLAT, A SWISS BASED FREE DIVER BREAKS GUINESS WORLD RECORD IN APNOE DIVING.

Peter Colat, Swiss freediver has broken the Guinness World Record in O2 assisted Static Apnea for holding his breath underwater for 19 minutes and 21 seconds. Colat living in Rafz near Zurich, aged 38, performed this feat in a water tank at a holiday fair in St. Gallen on 14-02.2010, smashing the previous record by 19 seconds held by an Italian Nicola Putignano May 2009. While speaking to the Press Colat, an experienced Professional diver, said “the first 12 minutes were no problem, I felt the first need to breathe very late”.

He added, “I am very happy and proud of my achievement”, which was followed by a loud applause by a large crowd and thanked his sponsors;
"Fitness Island" and “ magalex” brand watches . During the performance he was wearing a Professional Divers 200 ATU "magalex", brand Wrist Watch. "magalex" has launched Limited series of 14 Wrist Watches to honour his great achievement.
